|||
|
своему облику <hi rendition="#rend_italic">binontæ</hi> ‘семья’ более новое образование по сравнению с <ref type="xr" target="#entry_myggag"/> ‘род’, что вполне согласуется с данными
|
|||
|
исторической и этнологической науки, по которым род древнее семьи, или, перенося
|
|||
|
вопрос в плоскость языка-мышления, осознание рода древнее, чем осознание семьи
|
|||
|
как отличной от рода и противостоящей ей единицы. См. об этом также под словами
|
|||
|
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_7rvad"/> ‘родич’ и <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ævsymær"/> ‘брат’. Связь <hi rendition="#rend_italic">binontæ</hi> с <ref type="xr" target="#entry_byn"/> ‘наследство’, ‘наследственное имущество’ указывает,

что выделение семьи из рода было связано с возникновением института частной
|
|||
|
собственности. См. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_byn"/>; ср. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_binojnag"/> ‘супруга’. <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Gershevitch"/></bibl> (<bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_BSOAS"/><biblScope>XVII 481</biblScope></bibl>) возводит к

<etym xml:lang="en">It is in fact the plural form of the word <hi rendition="#rend_italic">binon</hi>(←
|
|||
|
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">byjnon</hi>) ‘belonging to <ref type="xr" target="#entry_byn"/>, i.e. inheritable
|
|||
|
household’. By its form, <hi rendition="#rend_italic">binontæ</hi> ‘family’ is a newer derivate than <ref type="xr" target="#entry_myggag"/> ‘genus’. This coordinates with historical
|
|||
|
and ethnological science, according to which the genus is more ancient than
|
|||
|
family or, switching to the language and mentality, the awareness of genus is
|
|||
|
more ancient than the awareness of the family as it is opposed to genus. See
|
|||
|
also <ref type="xr" target="#entry_7rvad"/> ‘clansman’ and <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ævsymær"/> ‘brother’ for further information. The connection
|
|||
|
of the word <hi rendition="#rend_italic">binontæ</hi> with <ref type="xr" target="#entry_byn"/> ‘heritage’,
|
|||
|
‘inherited property’ points that the detachment of the family from the genus was
|
|||
|
connected with the appearance of the private property institution. See <ref type="xr" target="#entry_byn"/>; ср. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_binojnag"/> ‘spouse’. <bibl><ref type="bibl" target="#ref_Gershevitch"/></bibl>
