значением <q>царапать</q>. Помимо семантических трудностей, сохранение начального <c>p</c>
в исконно иранском слове (без перехода <c>p</c> → <c>f</c>) представляется крайне

root with the meaing <q>scratch</q>. In addition to semantic difficulties, preserving the
initial <c>p</c> in the original Iranian word (without transition <c>p</c> → <c>f</c>)
seems extremely doubtful.</etym>
