отправлявшемся на войну или за добычей (см. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æmbal"/>). Во второй части — основа глагола <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xonyn"/>
‘звать’.</etym>
<etym xml:lang="en">The word literally means “calling (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">xon</hi>) a party or a group
(<ref type="xr" target="#entry_bal"/>)”. That entailed a party or a troop
which left for war or for loot (see <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æmbal"/>). In
the second part there is the stem of the verb <ref type="xr" target="#entry_xonyn"/> call.</etym>
