‘behind’, or <hi rendition="#rend_italic">færs</hi> (from <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fars"/>) ‘side’ with
|
|||
|
|
the <hi rendition="#rend_italic">r</hi> drop. However, in terms of meaning, the latter is more suitable ("away
|
|||
|
|
from the track", and not "behind the track"). The same <hi rendition="#rend_italic">færs</hi>, simplified as
|
|||
|
|
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">fæs</hi>, is in <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fæsgojmag"/>.</etym>
