‘нравящийся’, то можно возвести к <hi rendition="#rend_italic">vi-man-</hi> (с формантом <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-aw</hi>, как в
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">wæzzaw</hi>, <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æǧdaw</hi> и др.), имея в виду распространенную основу *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">man-</hi>
(и.е. *<hi rendition="#rend_italic">men-</hi>), среди многообразных значений которой есть и близкие к понятию

<etym xml:lang="en">Assuming that the initial meaning was attractive, pleasing,
it can be traced back to <hi rendition="#rend_italic">vi-man-</hi> (with the formant <hi rendition="#rend_italic">-aw</hi>, as in
