<etym xml:lang="ru">По значению близко к <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼūlbadæg</hi> (см. под <ref type="xr" target="#entry_kʼūl"/>) и, как и последнее, должно быть связано с <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼul</hi>
‘внутренний угол дома’, ‘стена’, хотя дигорские формы расходятся (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼolæ</hi> ||
<hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼwæl</hi>). Развитие значения: „сидящий дома“, „сидня“ → ‘баловень’.</etym>
<etym xml:lang="en">Its meaning is close to the meaning of <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼūlbadæg</hi> (see under
<ref type="xr" target="#entry_kʼūl"/>) and, as well as the latter one, it
should be related to <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼul</hi> inner corner of a house, wall, although Digor
forms are different (<hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼolæ</hi> || <hi rendition="#rend_italic">kʼwæl</hi>). The development of the meaning:
“the one sitting at home” → naughty (child).</etym>
