обоих глаголах форм прош. причастия, не имеющих <hi rendition="#rend_italic">m</hi>: <hi rendition="#rend_italic">nad</hi> || <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æznæt"/> (resp. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æznæd</hi>).</etym>
<etym xml:lang="en">Probably, the fusion of the preverb <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æz</hi>-(← <hi rendition="#rend_italic">uz</hi>-) and the
verb <ref type="xr" target="#entry_næmyn"/> ‘hit’ q. v. The coincidence of past
particple forms of these two verbs is particularly significant: <hi rendition="#rend_italic">nad</hi> || <ref type="xr" target="#entry_æznæt"/> (resp. <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æznæd</hi>).</etym>
