‘бок’, ‘сторона’ с ослаблением гласного основы <hi rendition="#rend_italic">а</hi> → <hi rendition="#rend_italic">æ</hi> (ср. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_rast"/> || <ref type="xr" target="#entry_ræstmæ"/> и др.).
Такое же образование, но без ослабления гласного (<ref type="xr" target="#entry_farsmæ"/>) получило значение ‘рядом’, ‘возле’. См. <ref type="xr" target="#entry_fars"/>.</etym>

word with the same derivation pattern, but without the vowel weakening (<ref type="xr" target="#entry_farsmæ"/>) received the meaning ‘next’, ‘near’. See
