Неожиданное появление смычно-гортанного kʼ наводит на мысль, не имела ли места контаминация с каким-нибудь иноязычным словом. Ср. anqar- воспринимать. It traces back to han-kār-, cf. angārdan, angarīdan : angār- to ponder, to suppose, to think, hangārtan to remember, to mean, to take into consideration, cf. ²kar- помнить, воспринимать ( 449). The unexpected occurrence of the ejective consonant kʼ suggests the idea of contamination with some foreign word. Cf. anqar- to perceive.
