кочегар fireman (кузнец, обращаясь к клиенту:) (a blacksmith addressing to a client:) dæxwædæg min ærtguz fællæwwæ ты сам мне постой за кочегара (раздувающего огонь в горниле) let you work as fireman (fanning fire in the crucible) yourself В первой части ‘огонь’, во второй какой-то глагольный элемент guz-(← kuz-) со значением ‘помешивать’ и т. п.; ср. ‘бездельник’, буквально „помешивающий (g˳yz) золу ()”. There is ‘fire’ in the first part, in the second part there is some verb element guz-(← kuz-) with the meaning ‘to stir slowly’ and so on; compare ‘idler’, literally „stirring (g˳yz) ashes ()”.
