tāč ‘to flow’ (see ), literally „of
one flow“. The analogous formation in Sogdian has a different meaning:
*ew-tač-(’ywt’č) ‘one’, ‘separate’. Maybe the consonance between Ossetic and
Sogdian is accidental.
