жесткая шерсть coarse wool Применяется только к шерсти. Это дает право связать с keṡa- волосы, с развитием значения ‘волосы’ → ‘жесткие волосы’ → ‘жесткая шерсть’, как в qīs | ǧesæ. Если так, то др.иран. *kaisa- и *gaisa- следует рассматривать как вариации одного слова (см. ). — При разъяснении m-kise жесткий следует учесть ос. ḱīz (← kīs). It is applicable only to wool. This gives right to connect this word to keṡa- hair, with the development of the meaning ‘hair’ → ‘coarse hair’ → ‘coarse wool’, as in qīs | ǧesæ. If this is true, then Old Iranian *kaisa- and *gaisa- should be viewed as two variations of the same word (see ). — The explanation of m-kise coarse should include Ossetic ḱīz (← kīs).
