Dudar-a-tæ, Mamsyr-a-tæ etc.) from the name of the legendary ancestor Tæga: Tægiatæ which is derived from Tægajatæ, in the same manner as faliaw from falæjaw, etc. The Balkars call all Iron Ossetians tegej, tegejli Tagaurians in contrast with düger Digor.Sjögren, followed by Hübschmann and Salemann also applied the term Tagaurian (tagaurisch) in the meaning Iron. tegej also means turbine of the highlander mill (probably because its construction is borrowed from the Ossetians).
