( II 79—81). То, что р не перешел в f (v), вопреки звуковому закону, следует объяснить характерной выразительностью губных p, b для понятий вздувания, вспучивания, по сравнению со спирантами. Обращает на себя внимание одинаковая огласовка в иронском и дигорском: uu, вместо ожидаемого yu или uоОс. æmbuzun увеличиваться, привлекаемое для разъяснения скифского имени Ἄμβουστος и языгского Ambustán (Z. Gombocz. Ossètes et Jazyges. Revue des ét. hongr., 1925, стр. 9Ossétes et Jazyges. Revue des ét. hongr., 1925, p. 9), нам не известно.. К осетинскому примыкает, возможно, buzva, abuzva нахохлиться Obviously from a + puz-yn, where the stem puz- is easily identified as pu inflate, swell, etc., with augmented -g (→ z); cf. pūga-, puñja- mass, puzo belly, puzyrʼ a bubble, πυγή etc. ( II 79—81). The fact that p has not turned into f (v), despite the sound law, should be explained by the characteristic expressivity of the labial consonants p, b for the notions of inflation, swelling, compared to fricatives. The identical vowel in Iron and Digor is noteworthy: uu, instead of the expected yu or uo. æmbuzun, used to clarify the Scythian name Ἄμβουστος and Iazygean Ambustán (Ossétes et Jazyges. Revue des ét. hongr., 1925, p. 9Z. Gombocz. Ossètes et Jazyges. Revue des ét. hongr., 1925, p. 9), is not known to us. The Ossetic word is possibly connected to buzva, abuzva to hunch.
