терпуг рашпиль rasp ; ср. ræs напильник ; cf. ræs file Из ar + dawæn, от ar(m) оглобля и dawyn гладить, точить; то, чем обтачивают, шлифуют оглоблю; ar оглобля бытует сейчас только в дигорском; наличие его в и. arduan указывает, что это значение не было чуждо и иронскому (если не допускать заимствования всего термина из дигорского, что сомнительно); ср. ærmbos гужевка, где тоже выступает в значении оглобля.
