Имеется в виду скручивание верхней губы у строптивой лошади в целях ее укрощения при ковке и пр. ( закрутка, закрутень). Отсюда — вообще понятие ‘укрощения’. Дигорскому bildoǧ отвечает и. (от и ‘скручивать’). The word bildoǧ derived from bil-tox, literally "twisting of the lip" (see ‘lip’ and ‘twist’). This refers to the twisting of the upper lip of the obstinate horse in order to tame it when forging etc. ( zakrutka, zakrutenʼ). The notion of the taming in general comes from this. Digor bildoǧ is opposed to the Iron (from and ‘twist’).
