Сближается с некоторыми памирскими глаголами: čak-, čak-, čuk-, čok- ударять, бить. Для идеосемантики ср. zadanи ‘играть на инструменте’ бить. Ср. ‘отбивание такта ладонями’, ‘россыпь’, ‘разбрасывать’, ‘рассыпать’, ‘ветер со снегом’, ‘метель’, ‘трут’.%nII 184. The notion of ‘beat’ is underlines all meanings. The past participle form caǧd (instead of expected *caǧst, cf. : karst etc.) leads us to assume that the root looked like čag- (resp. čak-), and not like čagd-, and that in cæǧdyn we deal with an unusual case where past partciple is taken as a present tense stem; cf. in this sense ‘satisfy’; i-ʒæx-s-un spread, i-ʒæǧ-næ touchwood for making fire refers to the root cag(čak-) as well. The word gets close to some Pamir languages: čak-, čak-, čuk-, čok- hit, beat. Fot the ideosemantics cf. zadanand ‘play some music instrument’ beat.
