Близкие к формы отложились в некоторых других языках; ср. čopælg пуговица, чапурок деревянный шар на конце лямки судна для захлестывания за бечеву (), чапарка чашка и др. It refers to the group of words of the type cbr || kbr etc. which mean ‘round’, ‘spherical’, ‘outstanding’ etc; cf. ‘plug’, ‘spool’, ‘cluster’, ‘balloon’ and many others. (see details under ‘round’).
