Если так, то dængæl вводится в обширную группу мимео-изобразительных слов типа tpl, как ‘волдырь’, ‘круглый’; см. под последним словом. It is in the group of the words of the same sound type and close meaning: ‘big’, Digor tunkur (and tuppur) ‘prominent’. Cf. the following word in one of the Iranian languages: dangal club, in the Caucasian languages: tʼængær belly. The group ng could alternate with рр (Digor tunkur ‖ tuppur, cʼong || ‘top’). If thi is correct, then dængæl traces back to a vast group of onomatopoetic words of the type tpl, like ‘blister’, ‘round’; see further information under last word.
