Суффикс -ond восходит к -ant, служившему для образования причастий настоящего времени; см. ‘старый’ (← zar-ant-), ‘высокий’ (← barz-ant-). Если в zærond и bærzond мы имеем причастные формы, восходящие еще к древнеиранской эпохе, то fældesond ‘создание’, ‘пословица’, ‘басня’ и ‘шаткий’ образовались уже на осетинской почве и доказывают, что суффикс -ant → -ond был живым и в позднейший период. В современном языке он уже не продуктивен. См. .%n573. A participial derivative of the verb fældesun ‘create’, ‘make’ [see ]. The suffix -ond traces back to -ant, which served for the derivation of present tense participles; see ‘old’ (← zar-ant-), ‘tall’ (← barz-ant-). Inzærond and bærzond there are participial forms, tracing back to Old Iranian era, whilefældesond ‘creation’, ‘proverb’, ‘fable’ and ‘shaky’ were derived in Ossetic and prove that the suffix -ant → -ond was productive even in the latest period.
