Со временем ‘боковое (окно)’ (færssag) стало означать ‘окно’ вообще. Наряду с этим продолжают бытовать другие названия для ‘окна’: и. , д. . Слово færssag в применении к среднему сословию мы понимаем в смысле „примыкающий“ (к феодалу), являющийся в отношении феодала „сторонним“, примкнувшим к нему как покровителю „со стороны“.%n55. From ‘side’ with the suffix -ag and with the usual doubling of the final consonant, as in etc. The meaning ‘window’ arose as a result of the opposition of the ‘side window’ (færssag ) to ‘the upper’ one ( or ), i.e. a hole in the ceiling, which also served as a smoke outlet. Over time, a ‘side (window)’ (færssag) came to mean ‘window’ in general. Along with this, other names for ‘window’ continue to exist: Iron , Digor . When applied to the middle class, we understand the word færssag in the sense of “adjoining” (to the feudal lord), being “outside” in relation to the feudal lord, who joined him as the patron “from the outside”.%n55.
