плевок (a) spit ; син. tu kænyn ; syn. tu kænyn cæstiarfægænæg fonsbæl balixsuj знахарь, произносящий заговор против сглаза, плюет на (больную) скотину a witch doctor, pronouncing a spell against the evil eye, spits on the (ill) cattle II 172 Возводя закономерно к rik-s-, мы приходим к raik-, rik- покидать, бросать (см. , ), но в значении, близком к rēxtan лить, литься, осыпаться, rixs- сыпаться, perix̌ посыпать (), vireč- разливать и др. Отношение сильного и слабого гласного leʒ- ‖ lixs- такое же, как в других случаях форм с инхоативным s: tav- ‖ tæfs-, tox- ‖ tuxs-, udaj- ‖ udæs- и др. ( § 992). — listuq плевок представляет, по-видимому, сложение двух синонимов lixs-tug; ср. ос. , tug плевок. Regularly deriving the word from rik-s-, we come to raik-, rik- leave, abandon (see , ), but in a sense close to rēxtan pour (tr., intr.), shed, rixs- pour (intr.), perix̌ sprinkle (), vireč- pour out etc. The correspondence between the strong and weak vowels leʒ- ‖ lixs- is the same as in other forms with inchoative s: tav- ‖ tæfs-, tox- ‖ tuxs-, udaj- ‖ udæs- etc. ( § 992). — listuq (a) spit seems to be a compount of two synonyms lixs-tug; cf. Ossetic , tug (a) spit.
