(в дигорском чаще qumajag) (in Digor more often qumajag) побочная, неполноправная жена bastard wife . .…в Осетии было в обычае держать несколько жен, из которых одна считалась главной, а остальные — второстепенными, «женами по имени», nomylūs… Nomylūs и ее дети (ʼы) были существами более или менее бесправными (М. Ковалевский. Современный обычай и древний закон, т. I.. М., 1886, стр. 232, 234). Брались такие жены из (сословия) или из очень бедных . По положению своему в семье nomylūs очень близко походила на наложницу, но не была с ней вполне тождественна в смысле большей свободы личности… Положение детей от nomylūs, помимо их оскорбительной клички , было тяжелое… ( 8).
