детеныш медведя bear cub ( II 115, 116. — III 36) Слова дитя, qybyl поросенок, медвежонок, щенок, kʼæbyla щенок, по-видимому, связаны между собой, заключая корень kab- || qab- и уменьшительный формант -ul || -il (ср. bæd-ūl, ḱys-yl). Происхождение элемента qab-kab- не ясно. Весьма вероятна связь с близкими по форме и значению словами балканского ареала: рум. copil дитя, copilā девочка, ϰοππέλι парень, ϰοππέλλα девочка, kopil парень, копелáк мальчишка и пр. ( 564. — 90). Элемент -il, -el в этих словах следует рассматривать (как и -ul, -yl, -il) как деминутивный суффикс. The words child, qybyl piglet, bear cub, puppy, kʼæbyla puppy, apparently related to each other, having the root kab- || qab- and the diminutive format -ul || -il (cf. bæd-ūl, ḱys-yl). The origin of the element qab-kab- is not clear. A connection with words of the Balkan area that are similar in form and meaning is very likely: copil child, copilā girl, ϰοππέλι guy, ϰοππέλλα girl, kopil guy, kopelák boy etc. ( 564. — 90). The element -il, -el should be consider in these words (like in -ul, -yl, -il) as a diminutive suffix.
