Ср. по семантике Lucius, Lucullus, Lucillus, Λεῦκος (спутник Одиссея), Λεύκων (царь Боспора), Светозар и т. п. В sūgsog дрова и sūʒynsoʒun жечь сохранилось прямое значение данного корня: огонь. 21, 39, 72, 165, 181, 199, 213. Traces back to fra-sauka-, from sauka- light, fire. The concepts of transparency, purity, beauty were derivatives of fire-light. See about it under the words færsuʒyn filter ( 454), ræsuǧd beautiful, syǧdæg clean, syrx red, syǧzærīn gold. Cf. suča- clean, transparent, bright, suka- bright, clear, light. Ossetic ræsog is seen with certainty in Sarmatian personal name from Tanais ʽΡασσογος Bright; see also (in the Elamite transmission) personal names Parsauka, Pirrasauka ( 219 sq.). Cf. the semantics of Lucius, Lucullus, Lucillus, Λεῦκος (companion of Odysseus), Λεύκων (king of the Bosporus), Světozarъ etc. In the words sūgsog firewood and sūʒynsoʒun burn the direct meaning of this root is retained: fire. 21, 39, 72, 165, 181, 199, 213.
