Ср. vañk-, vañcati шататься, идти вкривь, -vexus в con-vexus сводчатый, выгнутый, выпуклый; сюда же wæxsk плечо, vakṣas- грудь (← изгиб, выпуклость), ong (wæng) член тела из vi-vanka-. Семантическое развитие имеет близкую аналогию в германской группе wrank-: ranc быстрое движение, искривление, изгиб, renken вертеть, вращать, скручивать, ver-renken вывихнуть, wrenc искривление, wrench дёрнуть, вывихнуть и пр. — Ср. . The verbs ræwæxsun (fra-waxš-) and iwæxsun (wi-waxš-) dislocate represent the fusion of preverbs fra- and wi- with the same stem waxš-, the original meaning of which was, apparently, curvature, curve, from which, on the one hand, there is dislocation, and on the other hand, there is seizure, convulsions. Cf. vañk-, vañcati stagger, go awry, -vexus in con-vexus arched, curved, bulging; see also wæxsk shoulder, vakṣas- chest (← curve, bulge), ong (wæng) body member from vi-vanka-. The semantic development has a close analogy in the Germanic group wrank-: ranc fast movement, curvature, curve, renken twirl, rotate, twist, ver-renken dislocate, wrenc curvature, wrench, etc. — Cf. .
