III, Bd. IV, стр. 27–28); для ос. rast kænyn отправлять ср. ŕāst kərən отправлять (например, скот на пастбище). По словообразовательной модели ср. также от-прав-лять, где прав- соответствует ос. rast. — См. ; ср. . II 49; 29. — 53. Traces back to rāšta-, reḱto- (reġ-to-), a lexicalized past participle of rāz, reǵ direct (see ). As can be seen from the following correspondences, lexicalization took place already in the common Indo-European period. Forms with s are attested as well: rāsta- from rād-ta- from rād-. In Ossetic, they had to coincide due to the loss of distinction between s and š. Cf. rāst straight, right, correct, true, rāst, rāšt, (from Persian) rast, rāst, rūst, rāšt, rašt, răšt, rraṣṭa- (= satya- true, correct), rraṣṭa-tsūka = rast-cog going right, rāšta-, rasta-, raihts, recht, rectus straight, right, proper. — As for Ossetic arast un set off, literally straighten up, cf. bîbė rȧshtî (wtl. sie waren gerade geworden) hat den Sinn «sie waren weggegangen» (, Abt. III, Bd. IV, p. 27–28); as for Ossetic rast kænyn send cf. ŕāst kərən send (for example, send cattle to pasture). Cf. also a similar derivation pattern of ot-prav-ljatʼ send, where prav- corresponds to Ossetic rast. — See ; cf. . II 49; 29. — 53.
