Слово мы находим с сильным (долгим) гласным и в других случаях, например bægæm-sar с непокрытой головой. Оба варианта могут восходить к древнеиранскому; ср. sarah- и sāra- голова. Probably, this word is identical with head, start (from the starting point of recent times). The strong (long) vowel is found in the word also in other cases, for example, in the word bægæm-sar bareheaded. Both variants could go back to Proto-Iranian; cf. sarah- and sāra- head.
