Ср. для первой части тига, тега призывная кличка гусей () (одни и те же клички могут в разных языках применяться к совершенно различным животным). Для второй части — киса, киска и т. п. Те же элементы в обратном порядке в kiš-tik кошка. Сходные ласкательно-призывные клички для кошки находим в других языках Кавказа: cica, cicw, cisk, cicig, iciko, cgwə. Probably it is composed of two calling names: tik-kis. Cf. for the first part tiga, tega calling name of the geese () (the same names can be applied to completely different animals in different languages). For the second part cf. kisa, kiska cat etc. The same elements in reverse order are in kiš-tik cat. We find similar affectionate-calling names for a cat in other languages of the Caucasus: cica, cicw, cisk, cicig, iciko, cgwə.
