( 939—940). Формант -ūr в соответствует латинскому деминутивному суффиксу -ul- ( = coriulum). Дальше по звуковому развитию и образованию стоят čarəman-, čarman- кожа, шкура (см. ). Ср. , . The words xælcon scrotum, xælūr membrane, intestine, xælyn thin skin, xæltasæ leather gaiter contain one and the same stem xæl-, which is in turn regularly derived fromkari- or karia- and corresponds to corium leather, hide; also kora etc. ( 939—940). The suffix -ūr in corresponds to the Latin diminutive suffix -ul- ( = coriulum). Further in semantic development and derivation are čarəman-, čarman- skin, hide (see ). Cf. , .
