See and . Forms with the final -x should be explained by the contamination of two compound words: zīl-dūǧ and zīl-tūx, from tūxyn wrap up. This is supported by the usual expression in the epic zīlgæ dymgæ, tūxgæ wad whirling wind, wrapping storm (about severe weather), where zīl- and tūx- act as members of the usual synonymous pair.
