Но, во-первых, такого сложного слова в персидском не отмечено; во-вторых, огласовка i в осетинском препятствует такой этимологии. Вернее относить kʼimbus к группе звукоизобразительных слов, как и пр., рассмотренных под ‘круглый’. Sjögren (92) thought that this is a compound from kam small and pušā garment. However, first, there is no such composite in Persian; second, the vowel i in Ossetic contradicts to such etymology. It is more correct to relate kʼimbus to a group of onomatopoeic words, like etc., considered under ‘round’.
