Særizæd
название одного из домашних божеств. По приезде невесты в дом жениха шафер ведет ее к очагу, велит ей преклониться перед ним, а также перед (надочажной) цепью и просить у них благословения. После этого молодую подводят также к западному углу сакли, где находится украшенный рогами домашних и диких животных священный столб, называемый Særzæd (ангел головы), и шафер произносит молитву: о Særzæd! подай нам твою милость,—да будет принята эта невестка тобой, как священная гостья, и во дни жизни ее будь ее хранителем. Upon bride's arrival to groom's house, a best man leads her to a hearth, commands her to bow to it and also to a (hearth) chain and to ask for their blessing. After that a bride is led also to a western corner of a house, where there is a sacred pillar decorated with horns of wild and domestic animals, it is called Særzæd (angel of a head), and a best man says a prayer: o Særzæd! give us your mercy,— let this bride be accepted by you as a sacred guest, and be her patron during all the days of her life.
