имя одного из популярных героев нартовского эпоса (Сказания о Нартах. М., 1978, стр. 7, 291—302, 360—362). name of one of the popular heroes of the Nart epics (Skazanija o Nartax [Tales of the Narts]. Moscow, 1978, pp. 7, 291—302, 360—362). Хамыц — сын Ахсартага, брат-близнец Урузмага, отец прославленного стального героя Батраза, по матери — племянник () водных божеств Донбетров. Обладатель чудесного, неотразимого для женщин зуба Arqyzy dændag и длинных стальных усов (см. ниже Xæmycy rīxī). Мужское имя (вариант — Xæbyʒ: 93 93) встречается в Осетии и в наше время. Известно также фамильное имя Xæmicatæ Хамицаевы Khæmyts is the son of Æxsærtæg, twin brother of Uruzmæg, fother of the famed steel hero Batraz, matrilineal nephew () of the water deities Donbettyrs. Has the wondrous tooth Arqyzy dændag that is irresistible to women and long steel moustache (see below Xæmycy rīxī). The masculine name (with the variant Xæbyʒ: 93 93) is nowadays still found in Ossetia. He исключено, что имена и Batyr(az) представляют раздвоение монгольского Xabiči-Batyr. — Имя вместе с соответствующим эпическим циклом усвоено в соседние языки: Xamič, Xabič, Xəməš, Xĕməš, Xamč, Xäbəǯ, Xæbǯe. В кабардинском отмечено в быту имя X́abəž (сообщение Г. Турчанинова), в сванском —  Xäbəǯ.В 1944 г. мне называли в Сванетии известного охотника Xabəǯ Čxvimiani из сел. Пари. Также в фамильных именах: Хабичев, Хабцев (Тресков. Фольклорные связи Северного Кавказа. Нальчик, 1963, стр. 64).В газете Известия от 3 сентября 1971 г. обратила на себя мое внимание фамилия (украинская?) Хамицевич. Может быть, сюда же языгско-венгерско-команское имя Xamaz (Gombocz. Ossètes et Jaziges. Revue des études hongroises et finno-ougriennes. Paris, 1925, № 1—2, стр. 8). — Xabiči этимологически связано с xab- (xaba, xabu) skill in hunting, handling a bow, gun etc.; good quality, energy, spirit ( 900). — Колебание b || m могло иметь место как на тюрко-монгольской почве (ср. tebene || temene и т. п.), так и на осетинской (ср. Amistol при Abəstol). 1933 V 67—68 с прим. The name of this hero, as that of his son Batraz (Bahatər-as the As hero), is of Mongolian origin. Cf. Xabiči personal name and title (Vladimirov. Obščestvennyj stroj mongolov [The social structure of the Mongols]. Leningrad, 1934, p. 51). According to the person communication of V. A. Kazakevich, in the 13th-16th cc. the term xabiči quite often occurs as part of Mongolian proper names. The Chinese history of the Mongols (Yuanshi) attests in the same period Xa-bi-šì as the name of a Mongol warlord who participated in the same campaign with the As (Alan) chief Ilya [Ivanov. Istorija mongolov (Juanʼ-ši) ob asax-alanax [The History of the Mongols (Yuanshi) of the As-Alans]. In: Xristianskij vostok [Christian Orient], vol. Zhamtsarano, the name Xabiči-Batyr is attested in the Mongolian epics. It is not excluded that the names and Batyr(az) are a bifurcation of the Mongolian Xabiči-Batyr. — The name together with the corresponding epic cycle has been borrowed into neighbouring languages: Xamič, Xabič, Xəməš, Xĕməš, Xamč, Xäbəǯ, Xæbǯe. In Kabardian the name X́abəž is attested in common usage (personal communication of G. Turčaninov), in  —  Xäbəǯ.In 1944 in Svanetia I was told of a famed hunter named Xabəǯ Čxvimiani from the village Pari. Also in family names: Xabičev, Xabcev (Treskov. Folʼklornye svjazi Severnogo Kavkaza [The folklore connections of the North Caucasus]. Nalchik, 1963, p. 64).In the Izvestija newspaper of 3 September 1971 the (Ukrainian?) surname Xamicevič caught my attention. Perhaps the Iazygean-Hungarian-Cumanian name Xamaz also belongs here (Gombocz. Ossètes et Jaziges. Revue des études hongroises et finno-ougriennes. Paris, 1925, № 1—2, p. 8). — Xabiči is etymologically related to xab- (xaba, xabu) skill in hunting, handling a bow, gun etc.; good quality, energy, spirit ( 900). — The alternation b || m could have taken place both in Turkic-Mongolic (cf. tebene || temene etc.) and in Ossetic (cf. Amistol alongside Abəstol). 1933 V 67—68 with notes.
