Из осетинского идет bočæ нежный, драгоценный. См. . There is probably the same root as in ‘gratitude’; if comes from *bauz- ( bhūj-), than būc is from *bauz-ti, cf. būšti- enjoyment (?). The development of the meaning of būc ‘tender’ and ‘gratitude’ is explained by the semantics of bhūj- in its active meaning: ‘please someone’, ‘delight’, ‘satisfy’, where 'cherish' (būc) and ‘thank’ () come from. buc-an-em I feed refers here. β'wčy satisfaction is a puzzle.
