Скифское имя BaxšagBάξαγоζ представляет, по-видимому, причастное образование от этого глагола и означало ‘терпеливый’, ‘прощающий’, а не ‘наделяющий’, как мы перевели в 160. предполагает инхоативную основу *buxsa- и сопоставляет с bwɣt'rmyk терпеливый (XVII 481, прим. 5). A change from *bæxs- (under the influence of a labial consonant, like in from *fæs, from *mæd etc.). Cf. baxšūdan forgive, baxšanda forgiving, indulgent, bašk- forgive. A Scythian name Baxšag seems to represent a participle form of this verb and it meant apparently ‘patient’, ‘forgiving’, and not ‘endowing’, as we traduced in 160. assumes an inchoative stem *buxsa- and compares it with bwɣt'rmyk patient (XVII 481, footnote 5).
