Эти формы предполагают как будто существование отыменного глагола *fædǵyn. Вероятнее, однако, что перед нами сращение слова fædg с вспомогательным глаголом un ‘быть’. Слово fædg, fædk имеет яркое соответствие в *padg-, *paδk- (%ipdgʼ, рδkʼ, pδkh%i) обычай, долг, закон (в буддийских текстах передает dharma- закон). Достаточных оснований производить это иранское слово через ptq таблица от πιττάχιον таблица (А. von Gabain%s und %sRachmati. Turkische Turfan-Texte 6 72; А. von Gabain. AIttürkische Grammatik. Leipzig, 1950, стр. 304) не имеется. См. ‘след’. Ср. ‘отменный’.%n11–12. Derived from ‘trace’ ( pada-) with the suffix -k(g); cf. the same suffix in etc. Ideosemantics of ‘trace’ — ‘custom’ does not require special explanation; cf. Russian, on the one hand, there is след ‘trace’, on the other there is the verb следует in the meaning ‘should’, ‘ought to’. In Iron fædǵy is used in the meaning ‘should’, ‘conventional’, næ fædǵy ‘should not’, ‘not conventional’ (%i%bxūrnyg˳yldy fæstæ zyng dæddyn næ fædǵy%b%i ‘it is not customary to borrow fire after sunset’). These forms suggest as if there used to be a denominal verb *fædǵyn. However, it is more probable that this word represents a fusion of the word fædg with the auxilary verb un ‘be’. The word fædg, fædk has a correspondence in *padg-, *paδk- (%ipdgʼ, рδkʼ, pδkh%i) custom, duty, law (in buddhistic texts it is conveyed by dharma- law). There is not enough arguments in favour of relating this Iranian word to ptq chart from πιττάχιον chart (А. von Gabain und Rachmati. Turkische Turfan-Texte 6 72; А. von Gabain.
