In many Indo-European languages found in the meaning grind: molotʼ, μύλλω, molo, malan, melim, ma-al-la-i etc. mill Cf. also malem I pound, malywët you press, you trample down. — Past participle læmærst derived from the inchoative stem mar-s-, like lædaryn : lædarst etc.
