охапка сена, подаваемая в один прием тому, кто сооружает копну, а также при даче корма скотине a bundle of hay given in one go to the one who constructs a stook, and also when giving feed to livestock ; в дигорском есть еще слово в этом же значении; по объяснению осведомителей, — охапка побольше, — поменьше; в иронском имеем тем же значением. ; in Digor there is also a word in the same meaning; according to the explanation of my informants, is a larger bundle, is a smaller one; in Iron is found in the same meaning Восходит к fra-barana буквально то, что подносится, подается, от bar- нести и пр.; ср. fraβarān- (prβrʼn-) приношение, подношение ( 132). Суффикс -æn (← -ana-) используется здесь для обозначения не инструмента, как обычно, а результата действия, как в kærdæn платок от kærdyn кроить, буквально то, что кроится, отрезок ( § 1701,6). — Ср. lævar подарок, læværdton я давал. — Синонимическое (см. выше) нельзя фонетически вывести из frabara-. Может быть, связано с æppar- кидать. Goes back to fra-barana lit. something which is brought, given, from bar- carry etc.; cf. fraβarān- (prβrʼn-) offering, present ( 132). The suffix -æn (← -ana-) is used here to mark not the usual instrument, but the result of an action, as in kærdæn headscarf from kærdyn cut out, lit. something that is cut out, cut segment ( § 1701,6). — Cf. lævar gift, læværdton I gave. — The synonymous (see above) cannot be phonetically derived from frabara-. may be connected with æppar- throw.
