Ср. ɣumba опухоль, qombul шаровидная пуговица, клубок ( II 673), qumbul пучок, кисть, пуговка ( II 1052), qambyl горб ( II 496), kʼumbi пуговка на рукаве женского платья. kʼmbilai пуговки из канители на женском платье ( 146, 149) ввиду особой звуковой и смысловой близости к осетинскому следует считать усвоенным из последнего. — О словах этой группы см. под tymbyl круглый. Like other words of this group based on sound symbolism, it has correspondences in both related and unrelated languages.
