Ср. gama- (во второй части сложных слов) идущий и преверб fra-, pro-, указывающий на движение вперед. Менее вероятной кажется связь с raǧ хребет: ræǧæjmag от , как, скажем, ævdæjmag седьмой от ? В этом случае ræǧæjmag означало бы находящийся на хребте, на высоте. May go back to fra-gama-ka- going in front from gam- go. Cf. gama- (in the second part of compound words) going and the preverb fra-, pro-, indicating forward movement. It seems less likely to be associated with raǧ ridge: ræǧæjmag is from , as, e.g., ævdæjmag seventh is from ? In this case ræǧæjmag would have meant being on the ridge, at the top.
