Для первой части ср. , ʒænga ‘кварц’, для второй — I xuræ ‘песок (крупный)’; žagha щебень примыкает к осетинскому названию кварца: ʒænǧa, ʒæǧa [см. ]. Apparently, from *ʒænǧ-xwar. For the first part cf. , ʒænga ‘quartz’, for the second — I xuræ ‘sand (coarse-grained)’; žagha crushed stone refers to the Ossetic name for quartz: ʒænǧa, ʒæǧa [see ].
