ремень strap ; распознается в æx-tong подпруга ( 222–223) и dym-ī-tong подхвостный ремень, часть упряжи ( 382) ; recognized in æx-tong girth ( 222–223) and dym-ī-tong tail strap, part of the harness ( 382) Вместе с tang подпруга восходит к tanga- от tang- (θang-) тянуть, натягивать, θanǰ-, tengh-. Ср. тяга (из tengā) ремень. Созвучие с thong ремень следует считать случайным. См. tynʒynitinʒun расстилать, īftynʒyn запрягать. Together with tang girth goes back to tanga- from tang- (θang-) pull, pull on, θanǰ-, tengh-. Cf. tyaga (from tengā) strap. Consonance with thong should be considered random. See tynʒynitinʒun spread out, īftynʒyn harness.
