Разлагается на a + d + on, где — этот (см.), d - озвончившийся показатель множественности (иначе: 52), а on — распространенный на иранской почве суффикс мн. ч. -ān (← -ānām), сохранившийся в осетинском только в словах , kædon. Together with the correlative form ūdon these, they represents an unusual plural derivate from a- this, alongside the regular form a-tæ in Digor. Analyzable as a + d + on, where is this, d is the voiced plural marker (for a different view see 52), and on is the plural suffix -ān (← -ānām) widespread in Iranian languages and preserved in Ossetic only in the words , kædon. The stacking of several plural markers on top of each other is observed in many languages. The regular plural form is preserved in Iron only in the phrase atæʽppæt all these. See .Ws. Miller.
