перевязь снопа sheaf band kures suǧdæj, kʼælmæg ba ibæl xūdtæj сноп горел, а перевязь над ним смеялась the sheaf was burning, and the band laughed at him поговоркаsaying Это слово этимологически следует объединить c ‘затычка’: то и другое обозначает жгут из соломы или травы, который мог служить и как перевязь снопа и как затычка для кувшина, бутылки и т. п. Поэтому закономерно, что ос. ‘затычка’ отвечает в gərmək, kərmək веревка, свитая из травы (273). Этимология не ясна. Может быть, есть связь с kärmä растянутая веревка (II 1108), от kärmäk ‘растягивать’. — germi затычка идет из осетинского. From etymological point of view, this word should be united with ‘plug’: both mean a twisted cord made of straw or grass, which could serve both as a sheaf band and as a plug for a jug, a bottle, etc. Thus, it is regular that Ossetic ‘plug’ corresponds to gərmək, kərmək rope weaved from grass (273). The etymology is not clear. There may be a relationship to kärmä stretched rope (II 1108), from kärmäk ‘stretch’. — germi plug comes from Ossetic.
