В семантике осетинский несколько отошел от первоисточника и от соседних языков. From farāɣat freedom from work, from worries, rest, relax. The initial p speaks in favour of Turkic trace: paraxat rest, calmness, calm (Nogajsko-russkij slovarʼ [Nogai-Russian dictionary] Moscow, 1963, p. 266). It entered into other languages of Caucasus: paraqat calm, peaceful, full, paraqatssa calm, peaceful, faraqat freedom from business, calmness, paraqat well-being, parɣat comfortable, calm, free, spacious. As for semantics, Ossetic has somewhat moved away from the original source and neighbour languages.
