Сюда же в этом случае (← ræxsyn) дремать из bhrag-s; для формального отношения основ ræʒ- || ræxs- ср. || , || , || , || и др. A special type of compounding, where only the first component is meaningful (in thic case ræʒæ), and the second is a rhyming alliteration to the first, either with the initial consonant replaced by the consonant m or b, or, if the first part begins with a vowel, with the addition of m or b in the beginning: , -mylyn crooked, -billon alan etc. ( § 2022). — If the meaning (begin to) dawn is initial, then ræʒæ may be related to brězgъ dawn, bhrāj-, brāz- shine: bh is often reflected as f in Ossetic (see , ), and in the initial group fr- the sound f disappears, therefore bhraǰ- → fraǰ- → ræʒ.
