На иранской почве ср., в частности, rwxšnʼɣrδmn рай, буквально светлый (rōxšn) рай (γarδman). A derivative of rūxsroxs light with the suffix -ag. The formant -ag indicates destination in this case ( § 168II 2). Therefore, the wish rūxsag ū! literally means may the kingdom of light be yours. The idea of a better world as a kingdom of eternal light is typical for Iranian people, as well as for many other ones. In the Iranian context, cf., particularly, rwxšnʼɣrδmn paradise, literally light (rōxšn) paradise (γarδman).
