Вешалка (raǧæn) в старом осетинском доме — это несколько рогов, всаженных в столб или в стену; особенно ценились для этой цели рога серны (см. выше цитату: 52). Вероятна поэтому связь с rogъ, рог, rāgas рог: raǧæn из rāgana- сделанный из рога. Представляется, далее, возможным, что эта группа связана с rāɣ спина, хребет (см. выше ). Для развития значения острый || рог || хребет ср. spina шип при спина. While investigating the etymology of this word one should not forget about the realia behind it. A hanger (raǧæn) in an old Ossetic house is a few horns planted in a post or a wall; chamois horns were especially valued for this purpose (see a quote above: 52). Therefore, a relation with the following words is likely: rogъ, rog, rāgas horn: raǧæn is from rāgana- made from horn. It seems further possible that this group is associated with rāɣ back, spine (see above). As for the development of the meaning sharp || horn || spine, cf. spina thorn and spina back.
