биение (себя) в грудь beating (oneself) in the chest особо сильная форма проклятия, которая применялась женщинами в исключительных случаях; при этом женщина, обнажая грудь и ударяя по ней, призывала небожителей покарать ее обидчика a particularly strong form of curse, which was used by women in exceptional cases, in which the woman, exposing her breast and striking it, called on the gods to punish her offender
